Cookies
Like most websites and applications, so that they can work properly, we install small files called cookies or connection logs on your computer or mobile device.
Ageas uses cookies and other similar tracking technologies to distinguish it from other users when using websites or applications.
These technologies help us provide you with a better experience whenever you browse websites or applications, allowing you to improve your website or application, and provide Customer with targeted, customized content, offers, campaigns, promotions or information.
Cookies - What are?
Cookies are small information files that are stored on your computer or mobile device through the browser.
These files allow the website or application to "remember" your actions and preferences, such as your username, chosen language, character size and other display settings for a certain period of time.
That's why when you go through the pages of a website or application or return to a website or application that you've visited you do not have to re-indicate your preferences in principle.
Cookies - What are worth for?
The cookie identifies your browser program on the server, allowing the storage of information on your device. This technology serves a variety of purposes, such as helping to determine the usefulness, interest, and number of uses of our websites or applications, allowing the user to navigate faster and more efficiently, eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the same information.
Most browser programs are set to accept cookies, although it is possible to configure the browser to refuse all cookies (see below), or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. When you browse the website or application and the cookie is accepted, on a next visit to the website or application our Internet server will recognize your computer or mobile device.
In this way, when browsing the pages of a website or application or returning to a website or application that you have already visited and for which you have given consent to use cookies, you do not normally have to re-indicate your preferences or enter data that you had previously provided.
Cookies - What kind of cookies are?
There are several types of cookies.
Considering the shelf life of cookies, these can be:
- Permanent cookies: are cookies that are stored, even after closing the browser, in your access equipment (PC, mobile and tablet) and are used whenever you re-visit one of our websites or applications. They are generally used to direct navigation to the user's interests, allowing us to provide a more personalized service.
- Session cookies: These are temporary cookies that remain in your browser's cookie file until you leave the website or application. The information obtained by these cookies serves to analyze patterns of web traffic, allowing us to identify problems and provide a better browsing experience.
Considering, in turn, the domain to which they belong, the cookies can be:
- Own cookies: cookies are sent to the terminal equipment of the user from an equipment or domain managed by Ageas and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
- Third part cookies: Cookies sent to the user's terminal equipment from an equipment or domain not managed by Ageas, but by another entity that treats the data collected through cookies.
