The first edition of the Financial Literacy project of Fundação Ageas, in partnership with Empreendedoras, took place on June 7th.
In this boot-camp, the 10 best teams pitched their works and the jury, whom served as both the challenger and the inspiration for the teams, picked the 3 winners. High quality and creative works were presented, allowing students to apply what they learnt during the workshops.
The 3 winning teams brought glory their Schools, being granted the Ori€nta-te diploma and its respective seal, the well-earned trophy of 500€ worth in school material! Get to know the winners of Ori€nta-te 2019!
1st place Teams

School: Elementary and Secondary School Professor Ruy Luís Gomes
Class: 9- B
Team: André Faria, Cátia Clemente, Joana Ferreira, Sandra Chen
Head Teacher: Florbela Lopes
Challenge: 2 – Families – Their theatre play awarded them many points for creativity. They surprised the audience with a fantastic and detailed presentation, revealing a carefully analysis of the challenge and submitting real solutions.
2nd place Teams

School: Secondary School Luís de Freitas Branco
Class: 9 - D
Team: Afonso Estrela, Inês Fonseca, Guilherme Jorge, Madalena Silva, Sara Sepúlveda
Head Teacher: Adelaide Dorropio
Challenge: 1 – Project – The audience was drawn to this fictional story about a grandfather who lost mobility and needed to adapt his house and lifestyle, a story depicted very creatively in video format.
3rd place Teams

School: School E.B. 2,3 João Villaret
Class: 7
Team: Adriana Almeida, Beatriz Nogueira, Emily Nascimento, Sofia Gonçalves
Head Teacher: Anabela Pinto
Challenge: 1 – Project – The youngest elements taking part in the competition were surprisingly confident in their presentation. They were proud to sustain how they can go to Menorca for a trip, and proved that saving does not have to mean sacrifice, in fact, it can be quite amusing.
Best Ambassador Student

Student: Sofia Carvalho
She participated in the first ambassadors session, made herself available to provide additional information to a class participating in the competition and helped to involved and energize her own class during the workshops and with the team project.
Best Ambassador Teacher

Teacher: Susana Dias
Before the workshops had begun she was already trying to fit-in her class. This renowned ambassador, constantly displayed her interest in supporting the development of the project.
Honourable Mention

Class: 7 - C
Team: Bruna Costa, Mafalda Dias, Rafael Brás, Rodrigo Arenga, Sofia Ribeiro
Head Teacher: Leonor Silva
Project: 2 – Establishment – This team stood-out from the Top 10 for its choice in supporting a social organization, MIMO. Ageas Foundation immediately adhered to this idea and organization.
The Ageas Foundation was proud and honoured to assist the works developed by all, and hopes that the Financial Literacy seed grows within each participant and that they remain Ori€nted! A big thank you to all the participants, Schools, Teachers and Students!
