Living with cancer is a reality and a challenge for the patient, the family and society. Challenges that the project "Tenho cancro. E depois?" will address, mobilizing the patient associations, medical societies and health service providers in Portugal to talk about cancer.
For Teresa Bartolomeu, Marketing Director of Médis: "It is essential to have an integrated vision in the approach. We should follow the patient at all stages and not only after the illness is diagnosed. The funder should be an incentive agent for projects that promote health literacy, healthier lifestyles, preventive measures, through screening, and obviously be aware of the whole process of diagnosis and treatment. "
Médis associates itself with SIC Notícias and Expresso in this project that wants to bring to public space all issues related to cancer diseases, risk factors for diagnosis, prevention of clinical trials and discovery of new means of treatment - this is surely the most correct attitude to deal with this disease, increasingly chronic and ever closer to each of us.
