Grupo Ageas undertakes a commitment at Inclusive Community Forum

Grupo Ageas Portugal, through its brands Ageas Seguros, Médis, Ocidental and Seguro Directo, entered an agreement which establishes a quota system for people with disabilities, with a degree of incapacity equal or greater to 60%.

Grupo Ageas Portugal was one of the 24 companies to enter the agreement at the Nova SBE Campus, in Carcavelos, within the scope of an initiative carried out by the Inclusive Community Forum (ICF), which aims to promote a more inclusive community, by recruiting at least 4 people with disabilities in the upcoming 3 years. The Insurance Group undertakes to contract 2% of the average of its annual workforce from 2023 onwards.

The Human Resources Directorate of Grupo Ageas Portugal, along with Fundação Ageas and ICF, will work in order to articulate the implementation of this program in a cross-sectorial way to all companies of the Group.

Catarina Tenderio, Human Resources Director of Grupo Ageas Portugal, stresses that "Signing this protocol allows us to continue defending the Values that portray our essence today and that we intend for the future: Care, Dare, Deliver and Share. We seek to help those around us by remaining faithful to ourselves; we challenge limits (ours and those around us) without fear of going further; we make happen, delivering on our promises and learn together, inspiring other and sharing the success with all Stakeholders".

As of February 1st of this year, Law 4 of 2019 came into force defining and regulating the requirement for companies to increase the number of Employees with disabilities.
