The Castle of Marvão is once again the main stage for the biggest International Festival of Classical Music, taking place in Portugal and with the support of Grupo Ageas.
"The magic of classical music in a dream scenario" is the motto to welcome the 6th edition of the International Music Festival of Marvão (FIMM), which will take place between July 19 and 28, in the Alentejo village. This is one of the most beautiful locations in Portugal and gathers a perfect balance between a medieval castle architecture, the range of silence and surrounding nature traits, comprising the Natural Park of Serra de São Mamede.
This year, the stages of Marvão will welcome more than 600 artists from 20 countries. A diversity of musicians to form this unique event. Among the many shows, we highlight the Ageas Concert, taking place on July 27, at 7:30 p.m.. A concert in charge of the Israel Chamber Orchestra, with Ariel Zuckermann as the maestro.

This festival was born in 2014, by the hands of the reputable German maestro Christoph Poppen. After a bicycle ride near Marvão, not far from the border, the maestro was bedazzled by the fortified village.
Since its first edition that FIMM has been increasing the number of visitors and brings to Portugal some of the biggest classical music names worldwide.
