Dozens of people, both guests from Fundação Ageas, employees of the Group cand the general public, attended the Solidarity Open Day which took place on May 09th, at the Ageas Porto Coliseum. An initiative to mark one more year of partnership between Grupo Ageas Portugal and the historic Porto showroom.
The doors of the emblematic showroom opened at 02:30 p.m., and the 20 Social Solidarity institution users, who were invited by Fundação Ageas (Espaço T, SAOM and Santa da Casa da Misericórdia), had the privilege of being the first to discover the secrets of the Ageas Porto Coliseum.
A journey back in time, which started in the magnificent foyer, at the entrance. A tour-guide took the group through the Coliseum areas that are usually closed to the general public: an old film projector, the main stage, the dressing rooms, the backstage and, lastly, the second showroom of Ageas Porto Coliseum.
The tour was followed by two workshops, one on singing & dancing and the other on movement, both responsibility of the Coliseums’ resident training school, the Balleteatro. All guests of Fundação Ageas accepted the challenge of working their voice and body from an artistic perspective.
At the end, participants had their hearts full! Maria Canedo, 82-years old, was particularly emotional "this was a day full of saudade, a longing to return to my childhood”, she said. The Ageas Porto Coliseum was one of the places she visited the most with her parents; 70 years' latter she returned with her friends.
The Fundação Ageas’s guests swapped places with the employees of Grupo Ageas and the general public who registered for the tour and workshops.
The Solidarity Open Day was a day of discovery, of new experiences and of sharing emotions.
An inclusive initiative which placed culture at the reach of all, an action suited to the principles of Grupo Ageas Portugal.
