The Ageas Portugal Group, in partnership with the Nova School of Business & Economics (Nova SBE), re-organized the Hackathon Ageas, which takes place on the campus of Carcavelos, on 21 and 22 February. This challenge aims to stimulate university students to seek innovative solutions to real situations, linked to Ageas business.
During the 24 hour marathon, more than 60 students (from Nova SBE and invited schools, IADE Universidade Europeia through UNIDCOM – Unidade de Investigação em Design e Comunicação - and the Nova IMS - Information and Management School) will be divided into teams and will aim to demonstrate how the insurance business can evolve, creating the "Insurance 2.0" paradigm through the use of technology and innovation.
There will be six phases: immersion; inspiration; imagination; incubation; implementation and final presentation of the pitch. Participants will be present with speakers from different areas, speakers and mentors, in order to foster teamwork, creativity and innovation.
"As part of our ongoing partnership with Nova SBE, we have decided to re-organize Hackathon as it is fully aligned with our strategy in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship. Bringing these young students to the insurance industry is very rewarding for us and it allows us to leverage our position as a reference employer. By putting them in contact with the Executive Committee and some of our specialists from different areas, we allow them to know the reality of the Ageas Group and the insurance activity so that, in the future, they consider it one of their professional options", says Nuno Horta , Innovation Manager of the Ageas Portugal Group.
The 4 winning teams will receive, in addition to a diploma, the chance to take an internship in the Ageas Portugal Group, a prize of € 2,500 and an annual travel insurance.
